The Salesforce platform is incredibly powerful, but often as orgs grow, so do their complexity. Unfortunately, and more often than not, this scale in complexity tends to result in producing the dreaded technical debt. Additionally, not everyone has the time or opportunity to work on a greenfield project or implement their own trigger framework.

At Wynforce, we believe that development should be fast, intuitive, and, dare we say... fun! That's why we've created SlightWork — a lightweight, modular, yet enterprise-ready framework designed for modern development within the Salesforce world.

What makes SlightWork... Slight Work?

It's all in the name, and the name was intentionally chosen to reflect our philosophy. It combines the words Slight and Work to drive the mission of being a framework that's easy to use with minimal effort to get started. It's also short for Salesforce Lightning Development framework, as it's designed to take full advantage of the Salesforce platform from the frontend to the backend.

SlightWork aims to be one of the most comprehensive and developer-friendly frameworks to rapidly build Salesforce applications. It's designed to be used by developers of all skill levels, from beginners to experts.

Why Another Framework?

We know and acknowledge some of the amazing frameworks that already exist within the Salesforce ecosystem, such as FFLib (also known as Apex Commons) originally authored by Andrew Fawcett. It's these very frameworks that served as a precursor and inspiration for many of the Salesforce frameworks that exist today. In many ways, they kickstarted the movement to bring solid design patterns and principles to the platform to encourage the development of robust and scalable solutions.

However, as time has passed and Salesforce has evolved, certain ways of working or philosophies may have become obsolete. Therefore, we've felt the burning desire to share our voice and experience through building something that aligns with modern Salesforce development practices and philosophies.
